About Us
Blues Boy Kings are a rocking band from Lincoln in the East Midlands of the UK.
They formed back in 2010 and have amassed 3 studio albums and a new E.P recorded October 2023 worth of original music.
Husband and Wife, Jase and Sam are the nucleus of the band and welcome the most talented musicians to join them to make their sound as dynamic and strong as ever!
In the beginning
Jase and Sam met back in 2017, when Sam was looking for a guitar player and singer to step in on some gigs she had with her band The Local Heroes. She was given Jase's number by a dear friend Craig Laing who is sadly no longer with us, but never forgotten! That was where it all started. They immediately fell in love and within in a year of being together they married! Jase had already a good catalogue of original songs that he had recorded over the years.
After buying Sam an IPOD he downloaded all the music he had, approx. 25000 songs, which included some of his own material, when Sam heard this, she loved it and insisted that they recorded them professionally including her - that was the birth of the first album, self titled "Blues Boy Kings"

Their Journey
As they grew stronger and stronger and made more musical talented acquaintances along the way they decided to hit the studio again to record "Second Time Around" which included new material with both Sam and Jase Input on this album they were joined by the great Dave Taylor on Sax, and the very talented Stevie Gooding Keys. They were joined by Mark Barrett on drums who played on the first album, his shuffle are to die for! Also featured on this album is the great Dave Hunt who plays harmonica which is out of this world!
After that it was time to record another album with more new material included which had been written together, The main most popular song is Play My Axes, and King of the blues!
Most recently
We have been enjoying regular tours of the UK and the Czech Republic. A big THANK YOU to the extremely talented Frantisek Holub of Ceske Budejovice for the great shots featured on the web site! We are delighted to be returning to Czech Republic in 2024 where we will be playing at least 8 dates. We are also planning to tour other great European destinations. 2024 is set to be one of the busiest years yet, hope to see you at one of the gigs coming soon. Stay safe!
